Allow me to introduce the Dog Bluff crew:
O L D E E
N G L I S H
B U L L D O G G E
S
(Abbreviated "OLDIE" and "OEB" on
my website.)
SHERMAN and CLYDE
are Oldie studs. Visit our "Produced" page to see why we are SO PROUD of our breeding program here at
Dog Bluff. Serena, Bonnie, Belle
& Boo are Oldie females. Our Oldies possess the qualities that are expected of
their breed: great temperament (loving & devoted), broad-bodied, thick-boned, athletic, easily trained,
and able to live outside comfortably.
Thanks for your time. Enjoy touring
this website!
We are located near Myrtle Beach, SC, way out in the country. We have 4 acres (including a pond) fenced in for our bulldogs
to enjoy. Our dogs are part of our family -- we call them our 4-legged children! For the hottest days of the year,
we have an A/C building with a doggie door for easy access to cool off... but we normally find our dogs in the pond, splashing
and playing to their hearts' content!
Our "puppy house" is "my other home"
when we're blessed with puppies. You'll catch me in there more than any other place, as I cannot get enough of my "grand-puppies"
as I like to call them.
We enjoy continued communication with
our Adoptive Families, and we GREATLY APPRECIATE their willingness to provide References for our breeding program.
You will see abbreviations for the following kennel clubs throughout
this website:
CKC = Continental Kennel Club
NKC = National Kennel Club
WBA = World Bulldogge Alliance
NBA = National Bulldogge Association
IOEBA = International Olde English
Bulldogge Association
FUN for ALL BULLDOG OWNERS:
You
may find it helpful to post the following VERY LOW on the refrigerator door… “nose height.”
Dear Dogs: The dishes with the paw print are yours and contain your food. The
other dishes are mine and contain my food.
The stairway was not designed by NASCAR
and is not a racetrack. Beating me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than you
can run.
I cannot buy anything bigger than a king
sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort. Dogs and
cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out
to the fullest extent possible. Sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space
is nothing but sarcasm.
For the last time, there is not a secret
exit from the bathroom. If by some miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw,
whine, bark, and try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the
same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years -- canine attendance is not required.
To pacify you, my dear bulldog children, I have posted the following
message on our front door:
To All Non-Pet Owners Who Visit &
Complain About Our Pets:
1. They live here. You don't. 2. If you don't want
dog hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. (That's why they call
it 'fur'nature.) 3. I like my dogs a lot better than I like some people!
4.
To you, it's a dog. To ME, he/she is a 4-legged adopted “child” who
just happens to be short, hairy, walks on all fours and speaks in a different language.
Remember: In many ways, dogs can be less stressful than human kids because they… 1. Eat
less 2. Don't ask for money all the time 3. Are easier to train 4. Normally come when called 5. Never ask to drive
the car 6. Don't hang out with drug-using friends who need to be rescued 7. Don't smoke or drink 8. Don't have to buy the latest
fashions 9. Don't want to wear your clothes (unless they just came out of the dryer, all warm & cozy!) 10.
Don't need a 'gazillion' dollars for college.
