CHANCEY is available for Adoption in April, 2010. Currently, she is "on hold" for
Leslie and Garv of NC. We are thrilled with Chancey's temperament, and we feel confident that
she will make an excellent addition to the right household with her "forever family." Chancey was born 5/15/06, and will be
ready to "retire" from our breeding program while she is young and full of energy! We believe in retiring our females
EARLY so that they are able to live in comfort with their forever families for many years. Please call us for your adoption
interview if you would like to add Chancey to YOUR family!
Adoption REQUIREMENTS for CHANCEY:
* Chancey MUST BE SPAYED soon after adoption. This
is our #1 Rule for our retirees.
* Chancey's new home must be an INSIDE/Outside home,
which allows her to live inside at will. Chancey LOVES attention, but also needs exercise to stay athletic, healthy
& happy. She does EXCELLENT on a leash for long walks - she prances like a show dog! She has plenty of energy
to burn through play and exercise with her forever family.
* We prefer that Chancey have a fenced yard, whether it
be chain-link or electric wire fencing. However, this is not "mandatory" for her adoption. It is important to
know that Chancey knows NOTHING about traffic / cars, and when outside, she must be leashed if not in a fenced yard.
* Chancey is doggie-door HOUSE TRAINED!
Just in case you do not have a doggie-door installed, Chancey will do very well to crate train until she is familiar
with her forever family's home/routine. We've been told that our retirees adapt quickly and house-train
easily, even if the new home is without a doggie-door. Chancey has lived inside with us a few times (birthing &
raising her puppies), and has never had an "accident" while in our home. Her transition into her forever home should
be very smooth.
* Chancey is well socialized with other dogs (males &
females). However, if Chancey cannot be the ONLY dog in her forever home, we prefer that her playmate be a male dog,
as bully breeds do better with the opposite sex. If you own a female dog, we would need to discuss the breeds and
how they might socialize together.
* Chancey MUST go into a home that allows her to be the
"queen." When our retirees leave Dog Bluff, they may only go if they will have an even better home than they have here.
I require that my retirees live the rest of their lives in complete comfort, being spoiled by their forever families.
That's just the way it is!
